We are currently seeking a Medical Director for OB/GYN & Women’s Health at Atlantic Health System and Chair of the Department of OB/GYN at Morristown Medical Center, to oversee the coordination and management of all womens’ health services at Morristown Medical Center, as well as work with the other chairs of OB/GYN across Atlantic Health System. This includes inpatient services at all AHS hospitals and associated community and outpatient programs. The chair will also partner with community physicians and subspecialty practices to ensure outstanding quality of care, academic excellence, and optimal operational and financial performance of the service line.

Atlantic Health System seeks a visionary academic leader to serve as the chair at Morristown Medical Center. The successful candidate will be a strong academic leader with a background in advocating for women's health care and a reputation for clinical excellence. The department has an established residency program and a fellowship in Uro-Gynecology, and a commitment to resident and fellow education and research is essential. The Department contains subspecialists in urogynecology, infertility, gynecological oncology, and maternal-fetal medicine. The obstetrics service, with over 4,500 deliveries per year at Morristown, is served by 24/7 faculty OB Hospitalists and a large voluntary physician staff. The administrative expectations of the Chair include leadership of the departmental faculty, staff, and learners, programmatic oversight in residency and fellowship education, assisting in the strategic recruitment of outstanding faculty, fiscal responsibilities, and partnering with community physicians and subspecialty practices.

Professional Requirements: Board Certification in OB/GYN with appropriate subspecialty and applicable recertifications. Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Attending Physician. Experience with residency training programs as an attending is essential. Experience in a complex, matrixed organization and additional degrees (MBA, MPH) are both pluses.
