BC/BE Noninvasive Cardiologist

Novant health Heart and Vascular Institute in the Greater Charlotte market of North Carolina is a large multispecialty Institute providing integrated inpatient and outpatient service line management of the pediatric, adult, and surgical cardiovascular patient. Due to system growth and expansion we are recruiting for a BC/BE noninvasive cardiologist to join our team of 12 coronary and peripheral interventionalists within a group of 39 adult cardiologists, 3 cardiac, 1 thoracic and 2 vascular surgeons.   

This position will provide inpatient and outpatient consultative and diagnostic cardiology services to our South market region (Matthews, Monroe, and Mint Hill), and will be located out of our Matthews office among 7 existing cardiologists. This office location provides important support for the Greater Charlotte market cardiovascular service line which includes:

-Non-invasive and interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging (CT and MRI).

-Electrophysiology (CRM, ICD, and atrial fibrillation ablative procedures)

-Vascular surgery (open and endovascular)

-Cardiothoracic surgery (coronary revascularization, high-risk surgical valve repair/ replacement)

- Structural heart and valve center (TAVR, MitraClip, ASD/ PFO closure, VSD closure, Left Atrial Appendage Closure)

This position will benefit from:

-A high volume ambulatory practice with an established referral base and hospital presence

-An established and integrated research division

-A favorable and balanced call schedule

-8 weeks combined vacation and CME after attainment of supervisor MD status

 This position will require high-level skills for:

-Inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultative services

- Interpretation and performance of all echocardiogram modalities, stress testing and CT coronary angiography. Cardiac MRI training is preferred.

No cardiac catheterization responsibilities are required.
