The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford is offering a unique position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level as the Chairperson for the Department of Medicine. This position will engage your clinical, leadership, and teaching skills in a community-based setting. The University of Illinois College of Medicine is one of the largest medical schools in the United States and offers outstanding opportunities for development for its students, faculty, and staff. The College is undergoing a major curriculum revision and expansion to include M1 students on the Rockford campus in the fall of 2017, bringing the total student population to over 200 students.
The campus is located in Rockford, a vibrant, mid-sized city in northern Illinois, with convenient access to Chicago and other metropolitan areas. The city has minor league baseball and hockey teams, numerous golf courses, three botanical gardens, an art museum, theater, and a revitalizing downtown. Additionally, it boasts several parks and a river walk for year round sports activities.
