Director of Medical Services/School Physician
Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent co-educational boarding school in Gill, Massachusetts, is seeking an individual as the Director of Medical Services/School Physician to lead the Student Health Services and Wellness Programs.
The Director of Medical Services is responsible for the development, implementation, and administrative management of student medical services. The Director is accountable for administrative medical oversight. The candidate shall coordinate and evaluate all aspects of medical care rendered by the Health Center staff. The Director of Medical Services, in collaboration with the Director of Counseling and Nurse Manager, is responsible for leadership and strategic planning to ensure the overall quality of services, clinical policies and protocols, and personnel administration of the Health Center.
The successful applicant will have at least 7 - 10 years of experience in a school or clinical setting; knowledge of the current literature, trends, methods, and developments in the area of adolescent services; direct clinical experience with adolescents. Managerial experience preferred. The candidate must have appropriate and current certification to practice as a physician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Additional qualifications include strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues. The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being capable of working independently.
