Lahey Hospital & Medical Center seeks a dynamic physician leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Rheumatology. The department consists of 12 board certified rheumatologists and an excellent group of experienced support staff.

The ideal candidate will have a record of accomplishment in collaborative leadership and a demonstrated commitment to the highest level of patient-centered care. The Chair is responsible for physician recruitment and professional development, achieving departmental quality, financial, and patient satisfaction goals, developing new initiatives, effectively managing resource allocation within the department, and optimizing departmental operations in a growing, dynamic health system and a rapidly changing health care landscape. Recognized nationally for clinical excellence this is an outstanding opportunity to grow this subspecialty practice and continue to achieve the best possible patient satisfaction, outcomes, and access.  

The successful candidate must be board certified in Rheumatology. He or she must hold or be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is a tertiary care, 317-bed hospital with a Level II trauma center and very high volume outpatient center. We are a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of 600 physicians and a major teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine.

We are located just outside of Boston with easy access to the cultural amenities of a world class city, excellent school systems, and four season activities in all the New England states.
