Infectious Disease-Main Campus
The Department of Infectious Disease within the Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic has an opening in 2017 for an individual interested in infection prevention and / or Antimicrobial Stewardship. Our Infection Prevention program and Antimicrobial Stewardship program organizationally reside in Enterprise Quality and work seamlessly with other elements within our Quality Structure including Continuous Improvement. The program is focused on being data driven, patient centered, with a pragmatic approach to engaging care givers at the bedside. We have a strong focus on project work supported by embedded members of the Continuous Improvement group. Priorities in Enterprise Quality are harmonized in support of Cleveland Clinic Quality goals. Cleveland Clinic main campus provides Infection Prevention and Stewardship oversight for the Cleveland Clinic Health System – 10 community hospitals in Northeast Ohio – and Cleveland Clinic Florida.
The Cleveland Clinic Infectious Disease department is a robust clinical group comprised of 23 Staff members. We provide full spectrum Infectious Disease care for a 1,200 bed referral center with our unique model of 8 inpatient clinical services and our outpatient department. Opportunities exist for an individual to pursue specialty interests including solid organ transplant / BMT, bone and joint infections, neurological infections, care of the patient with HIV, granulomatous infections, and endocarditis and infected cardiac devices. We also have an academic mission with our fellowship program and our support of resident graduate medical education not only for internal medicine but other disciplines. The interested candidate would not be expected to generate external funding.
