The Infectious Disease Division at the University Of Utah is recruiting for faculty positions at all levels. Positions are available in General Infectious Disease, Immunocompromised Host Infections, Travel Medicine, and Basic/Clinical Investigation.

The Infectious Disease Division at the University Of Utah School Of Medicine (http://medicine.utah.edu/internalmedicine/infectiousdiseases) is recruiting for faculty positions at all levels, with salary, academic rank, and faculty track dependent on qualifications. Clinical positions are available in the areas of General Infectious Disease, Immunocompromised Host Infections, and Travel Medicine. These positions will include inpatient attending and supervising fellows in outpatient clinics. The successful candidate must hold an MD or MD/PhD, and be BC/BE in Infectious Diseases, possessing or being eligible for a Utah medical license.

An additional position as a Physician Scientist is also open for candidates who have either established or show promise of establishing a research career. Candidates in the fields of virology and virus-host interactions are especially encouraged to apply. A generous startup package, protected research time, and new laboratory space will be provided.

All faculty participate in the educational mission by taking part in seminars, didactic lectures, and clinical conferences. The Division currently has flourishing programs in the areas of HIV care, including a large Ryan White program; Transplant Infectious Diseases, Travel Medicine & Global Health; and NIH/NCI funded research in virology and bacteriology. Unique resources available at the University of Utah School Of Medicine include the ARUP laboratories, a national clinical reference laboratory, and a worldwide leader in innovative laboratory research and development, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
