The Department of Nephrology, Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible nephrologist for our rapidly growing clinical program.

The Department of Nephrology comprises six staff physicians and a nurse practitioner who lead the evaluation and management of patients with chronic kidney disease, end stage renal disease, renal transplants, acute kidney injury, hypertension, proteinuria, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, acid-base and electrolyte disorders.

The Department manages a major inpatient consultation service providing acute hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapies. Members of the Department serve as Medical Directors for an on-campus outpatient dialysis unit and a second innovative center dedicated to home dialysis modalities; our department collaborates closely with the Department of Transplantation and members of both departments share call responsibilities.

The appointee will be eligible for academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine, will participate in all clinical activities of the Department and will be actively involved in training of internal medicine residents and medical students.

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is a founding member of the Lahey Health System; the Department of Nephrology is based at our 317-bed tertiary care facility, outpatient clinic, and Level II trauma center located in Burlington, MA. We are a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of 600 physicians. Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is a major teaching affiliate of Tufts University Medical School.
