As we expand our neurological health services across the Northwell Health System, the Department of Neurosurgery is seeking dynamic junior and senior neurosurgeons and sub-specialists to join our academic multi-disciplinary team. We are searching for a candidate to lead our Nassau University Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.

The Department of Neurosurgery has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester; with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. The Department of Neurosurgery brings together the vast resources of Northwell Health and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine to provide state-of-the-art care while contributing to advances in technology, education, and research.

The Feinstein Institute currently has more than 2,000 research studies being conducted with more than 15,000 participants enrolled each year. Our state-of-the-art laboratories provide the infrastructure needed to conduct groundbreaking, disease-oriented research. They also house the largest genotyping facility in the State of New York. The Feinstein Institute ranks in the top 5th percentile of all National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants awarded to research centers.

Lastly, the Northwell Health System has established a transformative relationship with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-leader in research that promises to speed the advancement of novel diagnostic and therapeutic discoveries.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. In addition, an academic appointment with the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience. Physicians will be employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners, the seventh largest medical group in the country.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
