Hospitalists are needed for a facility in beautiful northern NM!   Would prefer candidates who have ongoing availability.  Full credentialing will take on average 3 months, but can issue temps.  Details are listed below.

  •       Number of beds in hospital: 200 licensed
  •       Number of ICU beds: 18
  •      Open or Closed ICU: closed
  •       Patient Census.
  • a.       Day: 90 (average hospitalist census)
  • b.      Night:90
  •      Admits (on average/daily)
  • a.       Day:  6-15 divided between 6 providers
  • b.      Swing: 6-8
  • c.       Night: average 12-20
  •         Shift Schedule
  • a.       AM: 7a-7p
  • b.      PM: 3p-9p, 5p-3a,9p-7a 
  •     Number of day teams: 6
  •      Number of night teams: 2
  •      Other teams? Swing 3-9
  •  Call involvement? Hospitalist scheduled for 2-5 back up shifts per month. Locums are not.
  • Any specialty backup?
  • a.       Ortho, neuro, neuro surgery, pulmonary
  •   Procedures required?  no
  • maybe simple I&D,
  •   Running codes required?  No, done by ER
  •   Who runs the codes? ER physician
  •   On Rapid Response team? Yes
  •       EMR System?   Cerner
  •   Will you take FP-trained physicians? Yes
  •   Can you offer temp privileges? yes
