INPATIENT PSYCHIATRY NEED Job #23057: 

First opening: Inpatient Mental Health Unit: the psychiatrist should have experience or interest in working with acute psychiatric patients. The ideal candidate would have strong interpersonal skills, and a highly collaborative team-based approach.  The psychiatrist will be working with an excellent and robust staff of social workers, nurses and case managers. Psychiatrist should be board certified, have clinical experience in inpatient settings in the past two years, and have strong diagnostic and pharmacological skills.

Second opening: In-patient weekend/week-night on-call coverage.  This will be a scheduled in advance.  For weekend call, the psychiatrist will need to make rounds (Sat. and Sun.), workup new admissions, be available for phone consultation, and do consults in the hospital (average 0-3 for the weekend).  Census varies from 9 to 17. Week-night call can be done remotely.  Psychiatrist should be board certified, have clinical experience in inpatient settings in the past two years, and have strong diagnostic and pharmacological skills.
