Chair, Pediatric Hematology Oncology Department
The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for the Chair position of the Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology Department. The selected candidate will join a vibrant and growing program that currently includes 6 Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologists, 7 nurse practitioners/ physician assistants, providing more than 5,000 patient visits per year, over 400 admissions, and 1,500 infusions. Programs include full Hematology/Oncology services along with a FACT accredited Blood and Marrow Transplantation program, Neuro-oncology, COG membership, and an accredited hematology oncology fellowship program. The department is part of the Pediatric Institute and we collaborate closely with Taussig Cancer Institute. We work closely with Case Comprehensive Cancer Care as well. The ideal candidate will have an excellent record of clinical service, teaching, and scholarship with strong experience in leadership, administration, mentoring, and program development. Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio is required. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
