Director Cytogenomic Laboratory
The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers in the U.S., announces a search for a Cytogenomics Laboratory Director, within the Section of Molecular Pathology. This is a full service laboratory performing routine karyotyping, fluorescence in situ hybridization, and array-based DNA analysis. It serves the patients and physicians of the Cleveland Clinic Health System and supports Cleveland Clinic Laboratories outreach clients. The successful applicant will have responsibility for direction of the Cytogenomics Laboratory, participate in interpretation of test results, and act as the primary consultant to pathologists and clinicians for Cytogenomic testing. Opportunities for scholarly activities abound, including clinical and translational research as well as education of students and trainees at all levels. Academic appointment in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine is available at a level commensurate with experience and accomplishment. Applicants must be an MD, DO, or PhD with certification in Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical cytogenetics laboratory. Expertise in cancer cytogenetics is preferred.
