The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers announces a search for the Chair of Neonatology.  This position will report administratively to the Chair of the Pediatric Institute. 

Cleveland Clinic Children’s is consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and has more than 350 pediatric medical and surgical specialists staffing the 429 inpatient beds and 50 outpatient clinics forming the Cleveland Clinic Children’s network, providing over 800,000 outpatient visits, 17,000 hospital admissions, over 12,000 surgeries, and accepting over 1,400 hospital transfers per year.  In addition to the main campus NICU, coverage includes two level III regional NICU’s with over 30 beds in each.  The Fetal Care Center provides comprehensive care for diagnosis and management of the medically complex fetus and mother.  The Children’s Hospital on the main campus is a 125-bed hospital within a hospital including a PICU and NICU that are staffed 24-hours a day. Cleveland Clinic Children’s ranked in 10 pediatric specialties among the 2015-2016 U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent record of clinical service, teaching, and scholarship with strong experience in leadership, administration, mentoring, and program development.  Applicants must be comfortable leading in a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment.  Board certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio are required.  A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
