The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a pathologist with expertise in laboratory operations and directing CLIA laboratories to join the Professional Staff of the Robert J. Tomsich Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute (RT-PLMI) as Vice Chair of the Regional Laboratory Operations Group. The Vice Chair will serve as the chief medical director and leader of regional hospital laboratory operations, drive standardization of laboratory testing, and maintain adherence to institute quality and compliance policies/procedures. The VC will act as CLIA Laboratory Director for assigned hospitals and/or Family Health Centers, and perform all Laboratory Director duties as required by College of America Pathologists and CLIA.

The applicant must have an MD and be board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, together with a minimum 10 years’ experience in a multi-hospital health system as a practicing pathologist with duties in both anatomic and clinical pathology and at least 4 years’ experience as CLIA certificate holder for a high complexity testing laboratory. The successful candidate will have a focus on customer service and have the ability to work well with multiple individuals in a highly matrixed environment.

An academic appointment in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University is available and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
