The Cleveland Clinic Center for Geriatric Medicine is seeking a geriatrician to direct its nationally ranked geriatric medicine program. The Center for Geriatric Medicine provides care across multiple clinical settings and is extensively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

We are conducting a national search to identify an excellent candidate with experience in collaborating to help integrate a geriatrics perspective innovatively into our institution's population management strategy. Support also exists to grow the section to expand interests in clinical research, extend clinical services, and share in innumerable opportunities for education.

The Director will join a leadership team collaborating with community agencies and departments across the institution to advance innovation of geriatric care delivery and help drive value in population management. A significant opportunity exists for Geriatrics to advise on redesign and integration processes for patient care as well as education of colleagues and trainees within this changing clinical context.

Core responsibilities for the Director include oversight of clinical quality, practice improvement, mentorship of section geriatricians and trainees, and active strategic planning around innovative models of care. Developing leadership skills can be supplemented with our free, extensive leadership development opportunities through our Global Leadership and Learning Institute and our Center for Excellence in Coaching and Mentoring. Support of scholarship and education is critical with infrastructure to support interests in clinical research through our Center for Value Based Care Research.

Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. The selected candidate will have outstanding clinical skills and be able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary faculty and health care providers.
