THE POSITION

• Psychiatrist needed to lead 14 bed acute IP unit
• Program uses a team based approach; psychiatrist will have a support staff of RNs, social workers and therapists to assist in patient management
• Most patients will be referred from physicians in the area and have been evaluated via telepsychiatrist prior to admission to the unit
• The ALOS per patient is 5 days; 1-2 days of detox and 2-3 days of encouraged group therapy
• Psychiatrist will lead the team and oversee patient management
