Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Full-Time Inpatient Psychiatrist

Among the largest and busiest behavioral health centers in Connecticut, Waterbury Hospital provides a full continuum of services for children and adults in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Waterbury Hospital’s state-of-the-art inpatients facility combines top-quality care in a spacious and discrete setting.

Currently, Waterbury Hospital is seeking a 32-hour Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrists will take an active and collaborative role in the overall direction and supervision of medical activities and services.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: medication management, patient evaluation, and other direct patient-care activities. The Psychiatrists are also responsible for taking an active and collaborative role in utilization review, strategic planning, supervision of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, accreditation readiness, public relations, and quality improvement. Reports to the Medical Director of the department.

Requirements:

MD license, licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut, and Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
