The Infectious Diseases Division and the Institute of Human Virology's Clinical Care/Research Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking two full-time non-tenure Instructors/Assistant Professors for appointments in the School of Medicine's Department of Medicine. Salary/rank commensurate with experience. Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest and experience in the clinical management of HIV infection and associated infectious diseases and their complications, be board-certified in internal medicine, and preferably board eligible or board certified in infectious diseases. The qualified candidates will be based in the Caribbean or Africa and will fully participate in the division's many global programs in seven countries which bring clinical education, antiretroviral therapy assessment, treatment, and/or training and monitoring to resource-poor countries. Positions will be responsible for establishing efficient and high quality HIV related medical care at partner facilities and foster site-specific capacity building efforts in clinical care/delivery and health care management issues related to HIV care. Candidates may participate in providing clinical education to students, universities, partners, and government/local officials.
