Positions available in: Primary Care; Anesthesiology; Gastroenterology; Infectious Disease. UpToDate is looking for physician editors in the above specialties to work at our offices in Waltham, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate is an academic clinician who likes to think about clinical issues and shares our mission of improving the practice of medicine by providing the best clinical information possible. He or she will have the responsibility of working with our authors and editors to update and, as necessary, amend the clinical content. This position provides the qualified individual to remain clinically active, while spending the majority of time in a highly academic setting with the responsibility of reading the clinical literature, interacting with opinion global leaders in their specialty, and improving the quality of care. The UpToDate time commitment for the above specialties is 80 to 90 percent, with remaining time to be spent in patient care activity. Previous writing/editing experience is not necessary.
