Director, Graduate Medical Education
Full Time
Leadership position available for a Director, Graduate Medical Education to direct and manage Saint Peter's University Hospital's sponsored graduate medical education programs, ensuring compliance with policies/procedures and relevant administrative regulations, guidelines, and standards. Will be responsible for the oversight and administration of SPUH's Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited programs, as well as other accredited programs rotating residents through SPUH; act as Designated Institutional Official (DIO) monitoring ACGME regulations, and assuring compliance with all ACGME Institutional Requirements; oversee and coordinate human resources and administration for the residency and fellowship programs and serves as a primary liaison and point of coordination with affiliated medical schools and other departments on a wide range of clinical, programmatic and/or administrative issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MD preferred with 5 to 7 years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and problem solve
- Knowledge of medical staff affairs principles and policies
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
