Portland, Oregon - Seeking an exemplary Hospice physician leader to serve as associate medical director. Full-time position. Competitive compensation; comprehensive benefits. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative medicine is required, and experience in providing hospice care is greatly preferred. This position provides clinical expertise and leadership to the interdisciplinary team made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, chaplains, social workers and other team members providing physical care as well as emotional, social and spiritual support for patients, families and caregivers. The associate medical director oversees scheduling of clinicians and provides supplemental coverage for hospice providers on the Hospice Medical Staff, serves on the Hospice Medical Staff and Hospice Leadership Team, and other committees as assigned. Position also oversees medical staff practice to ensure adherence to standards and guidelines. The Oregon Region Hospice Program is responsible for medical direction and oversight of hospice services throughout the region's ministries including care provided in home settings, ICFs, assisted living facilities, and acute care facilities.
