Desert AIDS Project, a FQHC clinic, located in sunny Palm Springs, CA is looking for a Physician, HIV Specialist to provide comprehensive primary health care services to patients, with and without HIV, in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as primary health care provider within the scope of his/her primary care specialty. Performs physical examinations on new and return clients. Refers patients to specialists as necessary. Documents all patient care activities. Maintain productivity level necessary to reach mandated annual level of encounters.

REQUIREMENTS

Board certified or eligible in specialty, MD or DO, California-licensed physician. Federal DEA license. AAHIVM Certified, three years of direct experience providing HIV care required. Experience with Hepatitis C treatment preferred. Excellent clinical skills, a commitment to evidence based practices and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving clinical and administrative duties is required. The desire and ability to teach a plus. Bilingual (Spanish/ English) preferred. Experience with EPIC EHR a plus.
