Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Division of Infectious Diseases, invites applications for the position of Chief of Infectious Diseases (ID) at our Mount Sinai Beth Israel campus in New York City. Mount Sinai Beth Israel has an independent ACGME accredited ID fellowship program with two fellows per year and 15 faculty.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished clinician-educator or investigator with a strong background in all aspects of academic clinical ID as well as an experienced leader to support the clinical, research, and educational efforts. Qualified applicants must have a demonstrated capacity to foster an environment in which excellence in patient care, teaching, research, and scholarship can flourish, as well as the ability to expand upon our existing clinical research programs. Prior attainment of national stature, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to promote a diverse workforce, and positive interaction with students, staff, and faculty are required.

Relocation assistance, and competitive salary, space and start up package are available to the selected candidate.

Qualifications:

  • MD degree
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases
  • 10 Years' experience in academic medicine
  • Must have a previous record of accomplishment consistent with appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in New York

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in design and conduction of HIV clinical interventional trials
