Anacortes, Washington - Fidalgo Medical Associates and Island Hospital are recruiting for an outstanding Pediatrician to join us in our Pacific Northwest paradise: Anacortes, an all-American town close to Seattle and the San Juan Islands. Position is full time. This is a pleasant, busy but low-key practice with a very collaborative team of 12 primary care and specialty-trained providers serving a low-risk population. Opportunity to serve as a preceptor for third-year medical students from UW. Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
• Call is 1:5, shared with Pediatricians and Family Medicine physicians
• PTO (paid time off) starts at 20 days per year, with five additional days off and $3,000 for CME

Facility: Fidalgo Medical Associates (FMA)

Fidalgo Medical Associates (FMA) is one of ten primary and specialty care clinics operated by Island Hospital in Anacortes. The clinic is brand new and has 32 exam rooms, employs more than a dozen physicians and advanced practice clinicians, and offers services from birth to geriatric care.

Anacortes is a historic city of 16,000 located on the north Puget Sound, a short ferry ride from the famous San Juan Islands and a 90-minute drive from Seattle. Due to fortunate coastal weather patterns, Anacortes receives only 21 inches of rain per year, half as much as Seattle. Among the most popular residents of the area are three pods of orcas (killer whales) who roam the island waters just offshore. With an active, tight-knit community and majestic views of the islands and snow-capped mountains beyond, Anacortes feels like a magical world apart, despite its proximity to Seattle, Everett, Vancouver, B.C. and other large cities.
