Vice President, Western Connecticut Medical Group

Western Connecticut Medical Group is a large, multispecialty practice group and an affiliate of Western Connecticut Health Network based in Danbury, Connecticut. WCMG is comprised of over 1000 employees, 300 physicians, 50 PAs, and 30 APRNs.

The VP will be responsible for the establishment and achievement of the strategic direction of WCMG, and for providing executive level oversight of all enterprise-wide functions and operations including staffing, physician compensation and contracting, medical practice acquisition and integration, development and management of the medical group’s infrastructure and reporting systems, and ensuring the financial stability and security of the Medical group. The incumbent will also serve as a VP of WCHN and be an active member of the Network’s executive leadership team.

Qualified candidates will have at least a Master’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or a MD with board certification in Internal Medicine or a sub-specialty area. At least 8 years of job-related experience managing a large multispecialty practice group, which includes full fiscal and operational responsibility; new practice acquisition, set-up and integration; and strategic planning is required, along with experience working closely with a governing board of directors or trustees, and serving as a member of a senior executive leadership team.

The incumbent must be recognized as a Change Navigator who establishes vision and strategy and selects and employs a high powered team to fulfill strategy and achieve published goals and business plans.
