Cejka Executive Search has been retained by the nationally recognized, not-for-profit provider of kidney dialysis, Northwest Kidney Centers, to assist in the recruitment of their Chief Medical Officer.

As the world's first dialysis organization, Northwest Kidney Centers has led the way for kidney disease treatment, education, and research. Offering dialysis throughout the greater Seattle area in 15 free-standing clinics, nine hospitals, and through its home dialysis program, Northwest Kidney Centers is the 10th largest dialysis provider in the country. Northwest Kidney Centers is recognized for its high quality service, deep community connections, with the largest, most active community base among US dialysis providers, and generous donor support. Committed to advancements of care and service, Northwest Kidney Centers partnered with UW Medicine to establish a top US clinical research center, the Kidney Research Institute. In addition, Northwest Kidney Centers supports four dialysis fellowships each year to educate the future physicians and researchers in providing and advancing exceptional kidney care.

The Chief Medical Officer will provide the clinical, strategic, and operational leadership for Northwest Kidney Centers' outpatient, home, and hospital service divisions to drive clinical performance improvement, quality and safety initiatives, and service excellence. In collaboration with senior leaders, the Chief Medical Officer will establish and implement best practices in evidence-based medicine and will drive performance and productivity goals to provide state-of-the-art dialysis care and related services. The Chief Medical Officer provides leadership and fosters cohesive working relations with providers, medical directors, and referring physicians and will serve as Northwest Kidney Centers' external liaison on a local, state, and national level. The Chief Medical Officer will oversee academic functions conducted within the Northwest Kidney Centers, including research conducted by the Kidney Research Institute and medical education.

Successful candidates will be recognized as excellent physician leaders with a dynamic and collaborative leadership style and success in advancing dialysis services. A medical degree and current board certification in nephrology is required as is the ability to obtain a current Washington State medical license. An advanced business degree is desirable.
