Battenkill Valley Health Center, Inc. (BVHC), a federally qualified health center located in Arlington, Vermont, is a thriving clinic with  a clinic staff of 5.5 FTE, two of whom are NPs, and an admin team including front desk of 8 FTEs. BVHC has 2,100 unique patients and accepts, on average, 30 new patients per month. Current on-site services include primary medical care and, through the Vermont Blueprint for Health, behavioral health, case management and nutrition/wellness services.

Since its opening in February 2014, BVHC has been committed to a 30-year strategy to sustain a health care clinic in the town of Arlington, both for our current patients and for future generations of patients to come. In June and July of this year, BVHC purchased two adjacent buildings with a goal to create a full service clinical campus in the heart of Arlington’s village by renovating and repurposing both buildings over the next three years.

The Church Street Clinical Campus Project begins on September 6, 2016 with the renovation of the 9 Church Street building. In addition to expanding access to our existing medical and behavioral health services, we are opening a state-of-the-art, four-operatory dental clinic in July 2017. Also included in the renovation project is a dedicated medical director office, provider work room, employee gym with shower, and conference room with a teaching kitchen.

Southern Vermont is a wonderful area to live, recreate, and raise children - excellent access to good public and private schools, 40 minutes to 4+ ski areas, including Killington and PICO, and 50 minutes from Albany International Airport. Historic Arlington, Vermont was chartered July 28, 1761 and became the first capital of the Vermont Republic in 1777. The town lies in the Valley of Vermont between the Taconic Range to the west and the Green Mountains to the east, with most of Arlington's land mass lying in the Taconic Range. Five prominent peaks are located within the town: Grass Mountain, Spruce Peak, The Ball, Red Mountain, and Big Spruce Mountain. The Battenkill River, famous for trout fishing, flows through the center of town and serves as a training site for the outdoor outfitter, Orvis's fly fishing school.

Nine miles to the north of Arlington is lovely Manchester Village and Center, home to many attractions including one of Vermont's largest designer outlet centers; the summer home of President Lincoln's son, Robert "Hildene"; the five-star Equinox Inn, as well as numerous eateries and antique shops. 15 Miles to the south of Arlington is the town of Bennington where the famous Bennington Monument, marking the Battle of Bennington fought in 1777, attracts tourists from places far and near.
