Health Plan Medical Director

• Plan and direct all aspects of the health plan’s medical policy, clinical utilization management programs, and clinical benefit determinations
• Work closely with the leadership team to ensure effective development, deployment and measurement of network activities, medical cost initiatives, and quality improvement programs
• The development of the clinical content for care management programs
• Support network provider engagement, detailing and integration with practice quality programs, as well as NCQA accreditation development
• Ensure clinical program compliance

Education/Experience:

• Medical degree with 10+ years of practice experience required, BC, active medical license
• 5+ Years of applicable managed care experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
• 5+ Years of experience in management and leadership roles including practice management
• Demonstrated experience working with clinicians to deploy clinical guideline best practices
