The North Shore-LIJ Health System is seeking a Chief, General Hospital Psychiatric Services Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan, NY

Unique opportunity

  • Department leadership role at the flagship Manhattan hospital of the largest health system in New York State (21 hospitals, 60,000+ employees, 10,000+ physicians)
  • Run the Consultation-Liaison Service, Psychiatric Emergency Service, and Regional Emergency TelePsychiatry Service
  • Staff includes 20+ Attending Physicians as well as Trainees
  • Position is approximately two-thirds clinical, with remaining time for administration, leadership, scholarly activities
  • Resources and autonomy to develop novel methodologies in staffing, workflow, process improvement

Academics

  • Academic appointment in Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine
  • Classroom and clinical teaching of rotating trainees
  • Extensive research and publication opportunities
  • Position reports to nationally-renowned Chairman of Psychiatry

Compensation

  • Excellent base salary
  • Large employer contribution to retirement plan (11%)

Requirements

  • Academic CL experience
  • Emergency Psychiatry/PES/CPEP Experience
  • TelePsychiatry experience or interest
  • Excellent management skills
  • General Psychiatry Board Certification (CL Boards preferred)

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
