The Division of Oncology, Department of Medicine, and the Stanford Cancer Institute at Stanford University seek a breast cancer physician investigator. The faculty position is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in either the University Tenure Line (UTL) or the Medical Center Line (MCL), and the successful candidate should be an accomplished translational and clinical investigator. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to build a strong clinical/translational research program, teach fellows, and participate in the breast oncology clinics of the Women's Cancer Center. The Division of Oncology benefits from an outstanding scientific and clinical environment at Stanford, including active collaborations with the basic science departments and the Stanford Institutes, including the Stem Cell Institute, the Immunity, Transplantation, and Infection Institute, and the Cancer Institute.

Candidates should have an MD or MD/PhD and be board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
