BEHAVIORAL HEALTH – BANNER MEDICAL GROUP

Banner Medical Group (BMG), Banner Health is actively recruiting for a Department Chair to lead our team of Behavioral Health providers within Banner Health. The Division of Behavioral Health currently includes providers from Banner Health locations, primarily in Arizona and Colorado. The candidate will be expected to lead a highly integrated team of physicians and advance practice providers and interface closely with BMG management to meet the overall goals of Banner Health. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced physician to direct a division in a cutting edge, multidisciplinary setting.

The qualified candidate will be an exceptional clinician with proven skills and values to lead a growing and successful Behavioral Health team. Candidates should have excellent clinical training and experience. Qualified candidates are required to be board certified with demonstrated leadership experience.

  • This position provides system-wide oversight and develops vision, strategy, and tactics for the clinical discipline with responsibility for behavioral/mental health services
  • Overall responsibility for providing leadership, direction, and administration of medical management, as well as the integration, coordination, and improvement of clinical care and patient safety within the Behavioral Health service line
  • In an essential leadership role, responsible for guiding the development and implementation of medical policies, practices, and clinical programs within the discipline
  • This position, along with its team members, is responsible for driving, supporting, and modeling a service-oriented culture focused on employee engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient experience
  • Serves as a member of the BMG clinical leadership team at the system level, building and supporting effective collegial relationships with applicable internal and external constituents and stakeholders and ensuring optimal operating effectiveness and strategic positioning
  • This full-time position is a combined clinical and administrative position. The percentage of time dedicated to administrative functions will vary between 70% and 80% based upon the size of the division and may vary from time to time, determined by Banner Medical Group leadership team
