And the Institute of Human Virology's Division of Clinical Care and Clinical Research is seeking a non-tenure track, full-time Instructor for an appointment in the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Department of Medicine. Salary is commensurate with experience. Successful candidates must hold a MD, PhD, or MBBS degree and must demonstrate a strong interest and experience in the public health evaluation of international HIV care and treatment programs. The qualified candidates will travel to the Caribbean or Africa and will fully participate in the division's many global programs in six countries which bring clinical education, antiretroviral therapy assessment, treatment, and/or training and monitoring to resource poor countries. Position will be responsible for leading groups of in-country employees, selecting and training new employees, teaching residents and fellows, and conducting various assessments as a faculty level leader. The Instructor will guide and mentor program staff and faculty in the writing of journal articles, presenting at international conferences, and ensuring that the CQI, M & E, and public health aspects of the grants are well carried. Candidates may participate in providing clinical education to students, universities, partners, and government/local officials.
