Temple University School of Medicine is currently seeking an enthusiastic leader for the role of Director of Geriatric Medicine. The Director will have autonomy to build and grow the geriatric medicine program with responsibility for providing strategic direction and effective leadership in Geriatric Medicine while supporting the Department of Medicine's overall mission.

The Director should be a visionary leader striving to build a new program, provide excellent clinical care, and heighten academic activity. He/she will work closely with Senior Leadership in the Department of Medicine to develop and execute novel and integrative care for the geriatric patient that provides quality and cost-effective care. The initial focus of the program will be to establish inpatient services providing a comprehensive consultation service to acute rehab patients, neurology patients, and the hospital medicine service. Additionally, the Director will create a strong foundation for educational opportunities for our internal medical residents. Other initiatives include the establishment of an outpatient service and building relationships with rehab and nursing care facilities.

The successful candidate will be BC in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and possess the credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at Temple University School of Medicine. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Candidate must also have the ability to obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will have outstanding clinical skills and must work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary staff, management, and other health care providers.
