Founding Director, Center for Cancer Health Outcomes and Value-Based Medicine Associate Physician-in-Chief for Quality, Patient Safety, and Outcomes, Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC - James). OSUCCC - James invites applications and nominations for the position of Founding Director, Center for Cancer Health Outcomes and Value-Based Medicine; Associate Physician-in-Chief for Quality, Patient Safety, and Outcomes. The Ohio State University (OSU) Cancer Program is comprised of the OSU-Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC), the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital (the James), and the Richard J. Solove Research Institute. OSUCCC has been an NCI designated cancer center since 1976. There are over 300 investigators involving 12 of the University's 15 colleges working across institutions and disciplines and constituting one of the most distinguished cancer research organizations in the world. In December 2014, the James opened its new 1.1 million square foot, 306-bed state-of-the-art cancer hospital, the third-largest in the U.S. The leadership of the OSUCCC-James is making a major investment in the creation of the Center for Cancer Health Outcomes and Value Based Medicine; a national search for the Founding Director is now underway. The Director will be a physician investigator in oncology-related field with national recognition as a thought leader in cancer quality and safety, outcomes research, reimbursement methodologies, workforce analysis, population health management, patient centered oncology medical homes, and/or risk reduction and management. The Founding Director is expected to be a major thought leader in the evolution of oncology to a value-based system. The Director is also expected to have a major impact on the activities and efforts of the James itself, serving as the leader for the transition of the James from volume-based to value-based care, leveraging the James clinical activities as a laboratory for new ideas, and ensuring that current staff and trainees of the James have a clear rationale for the changes they will face. Accordingly, the Director will simultaneously serve as the Associate Physician-in-Chief for Quality, Patient Safety, and Outcomes for the James Cancer Hospital. The Academic Health Center Practice of Korn Ferry is assisting OSUCCC-James with this important search. Please forward, as soon as possible, your application, including letter of interest, or nominations of appropriate candidates to: Warren E. Ross, MD and Bernard Godley, MD, PhD, MBA, c/o Helen An (helen.an@kornferry.com), Korn Ferry, 1835 Market Street, Suite 2000, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Ohio State University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
