Full-Time and Part-Time Outpatient Child and Adult Psychiatrists and Inpatient Psychiatrist

Harrington HealthCare System, a comprehensive regional healthcare system serving the needs of southern Worcester County, Massachusetts and northeastern Connecticut, is seeking full-time and part-time Outpatient Child and Adult Psychiatrists and an Inpatient Psychiatrist with experience working with dual diagnosis to join our team of physicians and licensed therapists.

Our regional system includes Harrington Hospital, a nonprofit, 114-bed acute care community hospital located in Southbridge, Mass, with a 14-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit, and a comprehensive, outpatient behavioral health program. We are also planning to extend inpatient psychiatric services at our facility in Webster, Mass.

You will also have the advantage of working with Harrington Physician Services (HPS), our multispecialty physician group that consists of more than 70 providers. HPS is an excellent source for referrals and consultation.

Behavioral Health Services 

Inpatient 

• Our 14-bed Psych Unit provides expert diagnosis and treatment.
• Includes team of experienced and compassionate psychiatrists, advanced nurse specialists, nurses, social workers, and mental health counselors.

Outpatient  

• Adult Services: Includes diagnostic evaluations; individual, family, and couples counseling; group therapy; partial hospitalization program; intensive outpatient services; and medication management.
• Children and Family Services: Includes the above services as well as Intensive Family Services (see below).
• Recovery Services: Includes a comprehensive substance abuse treatment program, group therapy, individual therapy, Intensive Outpatient Program, Suboxone and Vivitrol Treatment Programs, and anger management.
• Emergency Psychiatric Care: We provide emergency psychiatric care 24 hours a day, seven days a week at our Emergency Care Centers in Southbridge and Webster and in our community-based location in Southbridge. This program offers face-to-face psychiatric evaluations and interventions for people in crisis. Also, our Mobile Crisis team can visit patients at home, at school, or in medical offices for crisis intervention, as needed.
• IFS (Intensive Family Services). After-school program that provides intensive individual, family therapy, and group therapy. The IFS Program also provides at-home support and therapy for children with severe mental health issues.
• WIC (Women, Infants & Children). Early-childhood program with special assistance for low-income families.

Requirements

• Massachusetts license or license eligible
• Board Certified or Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
