Director - Center for Integrative Medicine

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the Center for Integrative Medicine, located in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a physician leader to become Director of the Center. The successful candidate will be an MD/DO who will be responsible for the oversight and administration of all integrative medical education, research, and clinical care. The ideal candidate will be a faculty physician that has knowledge of integrative practice models; experience in an integrative medicine related field; experience/knowledge in the area of research related to integrative medicine, and experience in administration and education. The particular area of interest for the Center will be around approaches to pain management. Primary appointment in a clinical department will depend upon individual specialty in which part of compensation will be derived from clinical practice. This position will also occupy the Caryl J. Guth Chair in Integrative Medicine.

The Director will:

• Participate in the maintenance and further development of established integrative medicine activities
• Develop a clinical presence for integrative medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
• Facilitate educational activities
• Facilitate the expansion of research activities
• Work with the office of development and alumni affairs to identify and secure philanthropic support for the Center for Integrative medicine
• Collaborate with Chief Wellness Officer
• Establish further collaboration with Integrative Medicine activities regionally, nationally, and internationally

Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a population of approximately 220,000, is also home to Wake Forest University and is recognized as The City of Arts and Innovation. This triad city is nestled in the northwestern region of North Carolina, within easy driving distance to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and the pristine beaches of North Carolina.
