Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), located in Danville, Pennsylvania, is seeking to expand its growing clinical research program by adding a BC Nephrologist with an established history of competitive grant funding and publication.

The ideal candidate will enjoy a baseline minimum 50% protected research time coordinated with the corresponding percentage of clinical responsibilities. The candidate will have the opportunity to leverage unique assets for research including 13+ years of longitudinal electronic health records data, a system-wide biobank, and well-established research support capabilities, among others. Geisinger’s substantial investment in health information technology since 1996 offers an unparalleled opportunity for clinical epidemiology, comparative effectiveness research, health services research and observational analyses, within a research culture that emphasizes rapid clinical deployment and testing of promising research findings.

The Division of Nephrology is a dynamic, academic department with a fellowship program and 13 faculty members.
