  Geisinger-Community Medical Center (G-CMC), Scranton, Pa., is seeking a BC/BE Trauma Surgeon to join a growing surgical critical care team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a future expansion project that will include new operating rooms and additional critical care beds. This busy Level II trauma center has 41,000 ED visits per year, 12 ORs and 17 critical care beds. G-CMC, licensed for 200 beds, sees an average of 1,400 trauma visits per year. 

Geisinger-Community Medical Center (G-CMC),Scranton, Pa., offers a complete continuum of educational, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services and programs. G-CMC is home to Lackawanna County’s only Level II Trauma Center and Scranton’s only adult, in-patient behavioral health unit. Other programs G-CMC provides include: a comprehensive cardiac service line including open heart surgery; orthopaedic services including the NewSteps joint replacement center; and a broad range of other surgical services and radiological services for men and women.
