The Department of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine (TUSM) is seeking qualified applicants for a faculty position in the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Successful candidates must be fellowship-trained in Hematology or Hematology and Medical Oncology and should have a strong interest in benign hematology and hemostasis/thrombosis. The successful candidate will provide inpatient attending coverage on the Hematology consult service, serve as Director of Inpatient Hematology, and will have outpatient clinics. He/she must be dedicated to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and have an interest in clinical and/or translational research. Applicants must be BE/BC in Hematology or Hematology and Medical Oncology, be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and possess academic credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor.

Faculty of the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology are members of the Temple Cancer Center. The Temple Cancer Center is located in a recently opened ambulatory care center with state-of-the-art outpatient care and infusion services. Radiation therapy, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, nutrition, and palliative care services, as well as an active clinical trials research unit, are on site. The FACT-accredited, Temple University Hospital-Fox Chase Cancer Center bone marrow transplant program is located off site. The Temple Cancer Center is a major teaching campus for the Temple-Fox Chase Cancer Center Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program. Research opportunities are available within the Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center, the Fels Cancer Institute of Temple University, and Fox Chase Cancer Center.
