Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP) (formerly Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center - BGSMC), has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Urologist with proven and respected leadership skills to build a program with Banner University Medicine.

The Executive Director is expected to provide leadership, development, vision, and strategy for the evolving Banner Health Urology Institute. Centers within the Urology Institute include Center for Stones, Reconstructive Urology, Neuro Urology, Female Urology, and Men’s Health. All positions with the Institute are aligned with the integration of complex clinical care with teaching and research to support the vision of the Institute. The Urology Academic Faculty will be integrated in a large hybrid faculty model with independent and employed physicians as part of the Institute.

Responsibilities include integration and alignment of all clinical and academic assets of Banner Health and the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix to develop a highly differentiated and reliable value-based delivery model focused around urologic academic medicine. Must have proven leadership abilities in strategic planning, business development, and oversight and accountability for the Institute's quality-safety initiatives.

IN ADDITION, THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL:

• Be a Board Certified Urologist with demonstrated physician leadership background and skills as well as the ability to make a positive impact with current staff; able to push for and drive needed changes for future growth and help build a nationally-known Urology Institute with full support from Banner University Medicine
• Engage and align key partners throughout the community to support the vision and development of the Institute
• Work collaboratively as necessary with leadership at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix to further elevate and differentiate academic activities to support the vision of the Institute
• Ensure complete alignment of the Institute with Banner Health’s care management and operating model

The scope of practice is split approximately 50% Administrative, 50% Clinical Faculty. The Executive Director will have a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona with the appointment being consistent with the candidate's academic credentials.
