The North Shore-LIJ Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is looking for a BC/BC Physiatrist to join our team at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, NY.
Highlights include:
- Join a team of four (4) Board Certified PM&R physicians; two with brain injury certification.
- The hospital's Regional Center for Brain Injury Rehabilitation is the only New York State-designated, hospital-based adult brain injury unit on Long Island.
- The CARF accredited outpatient unit offers an array of rehabilitation services including: Ortho Rehabilitation, Neuro Rehabilitation (including brain injury), Cardiac Rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation and Pediatric Rehabilitation.
- Academics-The Hofstra North Shore-LIJ ACGME Accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency program is comprised of 12 residents. Southside Hospital is a key site for clinical in both the in-patient and out-patient settings.
Southside Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York is a 341-bed tertiary hospital which has been in existence for over 100 years and is a proud member of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.. We are a New York State-designated stroke center, and we are proud to announce that Southside Hospital has recently become the first American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level II Verified Trauma Center in New York State.
Located in a popular beach community, Bay Shore is located across from the Fire Island National Seashore, and boasts some of the best public and private schools in the area. The village of Bay Shore was recently named the "Restaurant Mecca of the South Shore" by LI Magazine.

Salary Disclosure
Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
