Family Medicine Physician

In Rio Grande City, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to provide preventative and primary medical care for patients at a federally qualified community health center. Must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients. Physician will supervise midlevel providers as appropriate and participate in organizational performance improvement program.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of approved post-graduate training/residency, Board Certified or Board Eligible (with intent to certify) in Family Medicine, current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas, current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions, and current CPR Certification. Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred. Excellent benefits package available. FTCA malpractice coverage provided.

Income Details: Salary negotiable based on experience

Incentive Pay: Productivity incentive up to $9,600 per year

Student Loan Forgiveness: NHSC eligible site

Relocation: Up to $7,500 from out of state and up to $5,000 from within Texas

Vacation: 20 Days vacation with 10 holidays/ first year

CME: Five days with $2,500 allowance
