Banner Health has a premium opportunity for the qualified physician to join as an Associate for Academic Reconstructive Surgery at the Best Hospital in Phoenix - Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP) (formerly Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center - BGSMC). This practice is focused on general plastic and reconstructive surgery and comprehensive wound management. Clinical cases cover the full scope of wound and plastic surgery care, including trauma, cancer reconstruction, vascular and neuropathic diseases, and other complications that require wound management or closure. Problems treated and procedures performed cross over heavily into areas of General and Orthopedic Surgery. This position will have a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona with the appointment being consistent with the candidate's academic credentials.

Candidate must be BC/BE and experienced or willing to commit to a career and become experienced in these disciplines. A well-educated and well-trained Plastic Surgeon is preferred, however, we will gladly consider any highly motivated General or Orthopedic Surgeon who wishes to expand their knowledge and skills and not be constrained by the limitations of what they did or did not learn in residency. Motivation, attitude, surgical skills, foundational general knowledge, and general competencies in diagnosis and patient management will be considered most strongly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Comprehensive management of wounds and related diseases
• Comprehensive management of chronic and pathological ulcers
• Comprehensive management of soft and connective tissue pathologies
• Comprehensive support for other surgical specialties with regard to wound closure
• Essential coverage and reconstruction for trauma, cancer, orthopedics, vascular, etc.
• General reconstructive plastic surgery
