Atrius Health seeks an Associate Medical Director of Clinical Decision Support to provide Epic configuration and the clinical insight necessary for successful implementation of Epic ambulatory software changes that require physician clinical perspective for success. This position reports to the Senior Medical Director for Clinical Informatics and requires, at a minimum, Epic Physician Builder certification. The hours for this full-time position are evenly split between Epic configuration and clinical responsibilities. In the non-clinical portion of the position, ~75% of the responsibilities are in Epic configuration and ~25% are in project management. The role supports clinical decision-making in Epic ambulatory configuration including registries, basic reporting, and other population features such as bulk rules-based ordering, smart groups, and best-practice advisories. Takes input from the Chief Medical Officer, the Quality and Safety team, as well as individual specialties, to add whatever tools are necessary to improve the clinical care of patients, reduce the effort required by clinicians, and to eliminate unnecessary features and reminders. This individual will also need to understand basic reporting tools in order to assess the outcome of their work. Must be a practicing physician. Must be licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with specialty Board Certification, preferably Internal Medicine and/or medical subspecialty. Proven leadership experience is essential and some formal leadership training is preferred. Extensive experience as a practicing physician (5+ years) with 3+ years of Epic Configuration experience and project management skills. Experience in an ambulatory care setting and understanding of how ambulatory care functions.
