IPC HEALTHCARE, INC. is a national physician group practice company focused on the delivery of hospitalist medicine services. IPC's physicians and affiliated providers manage the care of hospitalized patients in coordination with primary care physicians and specialists.

We have an immediate opening for a Director of Operations in Connecticut. This position will have overall responsibility in Connecticut for all new acute and post-acute operations, and all existing post-acute operations, and one existing acute hospitalist program.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with key market business partners and customers
  • Develop and implement strategic plans which increase acute hospitals for IPC/TEAMHealth
  • Develop and implement strategic plans which increase IPC's post-acute footprint
  • Direct business development activities for new acute and post-acute opportunities
  • Direct business development activities for the hospital-based physician group(s)
  • Interview new Providers for open positions and process for hire and orientation
  • Conduct sales presentation to Healthcare Providers

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years' experience in healthcare business development, physician practice management, medical office management
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in hospital or long term care administration, physician practice administration and/or healthcare sales
  • Experience in the market preferred
  • MHA/MBA preferred

  • Exceptional marketing, customer service, leadership, project, business and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to multitask while remaining flexible
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for medicine and key understanding or contacts in the Healthcare community
  • Experience with and ability to develop relationships and work with physicians and senior level executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including report writing
  • Proficient with computer skills (e.g., Microsoft office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
