Seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Chief of the Renal Section at VABHS. Candidates for this major leadership position should have an outstanding record of academic accomplishment and excellent leadership skills. The successful candidate should be eligible for appointment as Professor or Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS) or Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). The VABHS Renal Section serves patients across the spectrum of renal diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Section is a major training site for fellows from BUSM and HMS-affiliated programs. The Section Chief is responsible for maintaining the outstanding clinical services offered by the Section and supporting strong inter-institutional collaborations. The research environment at VABHS supports basic, clinical/translational, and health services research. VABHS is the major tertiary referral center for veterans from throughout New England and is strongly affiliated with BUSM and HMS. The System comprises three major campuses and five community-based outpatient clinics. VABHS is the largest recipient of VA intramural research funds and ranks among the top VA facilities in total research funding. The position requires US citizenship, MD with licensure, and board certification in nephrology. VA Boston Healthcare System is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
