The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible MD, MD/PhD Physician to join our team as the Medical Director of Pathology and Laboratories at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Candidates must be board certified, have an established expertise in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and candidates must be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship.

Highlights include:

  • Provide visible and accessible leadership at Phelps and oversee all operations of the clinical laboratories.
  • Serve as the liaison with the Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Laboratory Service Line.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of CAP, State of New York Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies. 
  • Provide leadership with respect to patient safety and quality, laboratory test utilization, and operational performance of the laboratories.

Phelps Memorial is a 238-bed community hospital situated on a scenic 70-acre campus along the Hudson River in Sleepy Hollow, NY, just 40 minutes to NYC. Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
