The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University seeks a full-time Infectious Disease physician at the rank of non-tenure-eligible Assistant Professor on the clinician-educator career track. The successful candidate will help advance the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program in collaboration with Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) Infection Control and Healthcare Epidemiology and play an essential role in preventing antimicrobial resistance and health care–related infections at NMH. In addition to active participation in the Infection Prevention and Control activities of the hospital, the candidate will also contribute toward graduate education in the Division, attend on the inpatient and outpatient Infectious Diseases clinical service, and lead investigator-initiated clinical research studies. Expertise in health care epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and antimicrobial stewardship is necessary. Qualified candidates will hold a medical degree and be board certified in infectious diseases. Salary is commensurate with experience. The start date is negotiable. The position will remain open until filled.
